  • Hey Ross, You probably don't remember me very well at all, I was a friend of P. Jensen and he introduced us at the 2006 NOAC. Thanks for speaking out. I was a section chief in the NE Region and am out and of it. I wish BSA renewed my membership but sadly they found out and did not. Thank you again for speaking out. I would be right back in scouting given the chance if they allowed it. I'm proud to be an Eagle and Vigil Honor member as well.

  • Thank you for sharing this for the youth in scouts out there. Hopefully one day the Boy Scouts will come to their senses...

  • Right on brother.

  • Thanks for this inspiring message. I am a fellow DSA receipient from the Northeast Region. Please feel free to look up the Coalition for Inclusive Scouting and the National Gay Eagle Scout Association on Facebook.

  • As a gay man, former Scoutmaster, father of two Eagle Scouts, father-in-law another Eagle Scout, and father and father-in-law of two women who worked many years at Scout camp, I salute you, Sir! You have kept your honor bright.

  • What makes our oath valuable is not the words we speak, but the spirit in which we make our promise. Part of that is that we promise to treat all people decently, and by our actions we renew this promise every day. The vocal minority who try to force scouting to exclude gay people (and be in no doubt, they *are* a minority) are breaking this promise. History teaches us that change will come, though: it will get better!

  • This policy is exactly like Don't Ask Don't Tell. Scouting should get a clue that it doesn't work and abolish it, just like Congress has done with DADT!

    thanks for the video.

  • Ross,

Thank you for making this video. I like the fact that it was promised to help other people at all times that led you to making it. I'm sure it will have an impact.
