This video depicts a hike to the summit of Mount Elmo, a small, approximately 350-ft (107 m) high isolated hill located in the eastern reach of the Antelope Valley just east of, and within one mile of, the north/south Los Angeles County/San Bernardino County line in California's Mojave Desert. The summit of Mount Elmo reaches an elevation of 3254 feet (992 m) above sea level.
I discovered Mount Elmo by studying the topographic quadrangle containing it (the El Mirage, California quadrangle) and imagining the trip to and hike on Mount Elmo that forms the substance of this video.
Mount Elmo is located ~2.8 miles (4.5 km) southwest of El Mirage dry lake bed, west of and adjacent to El Mirage Valley, less than two miles west of Gray Mountain, less than two miles northwest of Black Mountain, six miles south of Adobe Mountain, approximately eight miles (twelve point-eight kilometers) southeast of Saddleback Butte, and 5.3 miles (8.5 km) northeast of Black Butte.

Hello. Thank you for the metric conversions. I teach my students both the English and metric systems of measurement because, here in America, we still use the English system decades after the English stopped using it!
I've added some metric equivalents in my video description at right. Ciao.

You went to Mt Elmo? Really? Why would anyone go to Mt Elmo? How did you find it?
