These well-respected 12-point crampons are designed for general mountaineering, alpinism, mixed climbing, and moderate waterfall routes. The longer front points, 'raked' second points, and saw-edged rear points provide more security on steep terrain than most 10-point crampons. Four points - at the heel and instep - are oriented perpendicular to the crampon rails, to prevent shearing in soft snow and improve security when you descend facing outward. Made of ultra-strong chromolly steel, they're easily adjustable without tools, and one size fits most. (User note: If you have a size 11.5 or bigger boot you may need the Long Bar Extenders.) G12s fold for transport and come with excellent anti-balling plates. They're available in an all-strap version (for light hiking boots that don't have heel grooves) and a "New Matic" heel-lever version (for lighter weight, easier on-off, and a tighter fit for extended front-pointing.) Time-tested crampons that can take you from walk-ups to waterfalls.
Nice, check also "Grivel crampons regulation bar for small size boots".
