Myth Busted! (Snake sizing its owner up)

It happened to a friend of a friend. she had this pet snake and she let it sleep in bed with her and one night this friend noticed that the snake was stretching out next to her. she took the snake to the vet to see what this behaviour might be. the vet told her that the snake is sizing her up to eat her and that she shoud have it put down!
Tall story indeed!

I heard that exact same story twice, once two years ago and also someone told me today that they know someone with a snake that "sized" them up. I thought it sounded absolutely stupid.

I was just told this tall tale. "had a baby the snake stretched out against the baby." They put the darling down, or hopefully, just got rid of it. Very misunderstood creatures, and need to be treated with respect and well fed. The poor thing was probably cold and looking to share the person's warmth, like a moving heated rock. Snakes should not be left to roam free anyways, it is not safe for them. They need warming rocks, in a safe habitat, with lots of food, water, & love!
