Hello there,
Really enjoyed the video - fab 'vintage' home studio!
Aren't you also an electrical engineer of sorts?
Love the equipment, esp the Ampex tape machine (mono?), the cart machine, and of course the Gates turntable - those things are HUGE!! Isn't that a 10" 78 you're playing? I've never seen platters this size, my dad's got a Garrard (301, I think) d'époque (i.e. '60s) and it's already quite big, on springs and sitting in a massive wooden cabinet + lid.
Cheers and ATB.

Man your very own broadcast studio at home. Iliked that Gates table. I am looking into getting a rek-o-kut or something liek that. Gotta have some broadcast stuff.

Great video you have very nice stuff! I love that turntable too! What brand is it and what cartridge is mounted on it?
Can you tell me if you know how to make videos appear in HQ on YouTube? This video has the option.
Check out my Garrard video, I would love my next video to appear in HQ likr this one. Cheers!

Always liked the ITC 3D cart machines. Can you still get parts for them?

Yes that is a monstrous Curtis Mathes console with black and white TV and it is a BSR turntable...it sort of works but could use new caps. Will try and make a more complete video soon.

aaah u sure like those BSR turntables, eh? i don't blame you. They're really cool. A lot of people say they're very problematic, but I never had any problems with the ones I used to have. I wish I would have kept them now... I was moving at the time and so I had to get rid of them. One I sold to a second hand store and the other I gave away to someone.
They sure are fun to take apart and put back together again, eh? I used to love the mechanics in them.

This is one of the older style of BSR's...I think they were better built than the 70's ones.

I do like the song.
I have 2 8 in pa system speakers. one a Bogen, the a other a Rauland. I could be wrong, but I think Rauland had ties with Zenith at one time. Both are/were made in Illinois.
also a Calfone tape deck that works somewhat well. Had an issue with some headphone jacks so I removed them and replaced them with a light switch (of all things) to turn off the internal speaker so I could use the other jacks. Has a screw in the lid so I can pull the door open.Eject button doesn't work

Yes, there was a connection between Rauland and Zenith somehow...Most Zenith picture tubes were Rauland brand but I'm not really sure what the connection was.
