What nonsense to say real Jews do not inhabit Israel. When Hitler was killing them did anyone say "what are you doing they are not real Jews!" Or, when the Czar was causing the pogroms did anyone say "hey what are you doing they are not real Jews" of course not. Now these same Jews go to Israel and presto all of a sudden they are not Jews. These shows great intellectual dishonesty.

@Lagolop The name calling shows your immaturity. I said "hebrew", not Jewish. A Hebrew is a direct descendant of the twelve tribes of Israel (Jacob), and those are the Real Jews, not the Ashkenazis whom are currently inhabiting Israel. A Jew can also be a religious Jew, as in someone who practices Jewish, religious practices but these aren't Hebrews either.

I don't have racial issues.

I'm aware many ppl in the SW (4 corners) have Jewish roots; many of whom are now aware of it. Some r realizing why their families had practices that were unexplainable to them until recently. I saw a vid of a Catholic priest that discovered his Jewish roots & it has affected his practice. Very interesting. If I can find the link again I will send it to u.

BTW, Columbus & most of his crew were Maranos (Hidden Jews). The Jews discovered the Americas.

What your words show is that you do not know anything about Mexican history, specially the history of the north-east of Mexico (The New Spaing and the New Kingdom of Leon). Mexican Jews are not typically those that come into the USA illegally.

And BTW, not all Mexican Jews "look" like Mexicans; plenty look European. It just depends on where your family originally came from and if they remixed with other people or not.

Chance are you have Jewish roots. It matter little how much Jewish genetics you have. It's simple really; you are Jew if either born to a Jewish mother or you convert.

Jewishness is about faith and culture and nationhood; more so than genetics. Ethnicity is linked to nation and some "ethnic" Jews are even atheists. They are still Jews.

It is good that “Christians” Americans consider that, but is it considered for all Jews or only what they considered to be a Jew? Many Americans ignore that many of the Mexican and Latino immigrants that they humiliate, mistreat, and even abuse of are descendents of Sephardim Jews that came to America (when we say America we refer to the whole continent) running away from Spanish inquisition. We are not Caucasian looking Jews but Mexican looking Jews; still we are children of the promise.
