I have similar problem. But with mine its the up arrow key. I tried popping it back in place but its not the same. When i gently press on the upper right corner of that key that has popped up , the bottom right corner lifts. I spoke the the technician through chat 2-3 days ago. i had 200 and something more days of warranty on it. So they wont me to ship it too them so they can replace the keyboard.
Apparently this is a common problem as my model is the hp pavilion DV-74173US.

Well I don't use them for that I've got a Xbox 360 controller that I use for most games and it works wonders !
