Halo 2 for Vista or Windows 7 works great.. I provide no support for XP, so you are on your own.

Tutorial in a nutshell:
1) Install tunngle. Make an account. Do this at http://www.tunngle.net
2) Get teknogods. Latest version can be found here: http://gamedexterity.wikispaces.com/Versatile+Secret+Files
3) [Update on 7-23-11] Make sure to update your halo 2 game to the latest version. Do this at http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/0/e/b0ec1acf-8623-4520-9764-75baaffc...
4) After updating the game, make sure to get the network dll fix. You can get that at the blog tutorial:

Whenever I try to join a server it tells me that I'm using a different version of Halo 2, even though I downloaded the update from MS. It says I'm on version 1.0.2.129 - is this the latest version or is the update not applying correctly?

@VoidReala I think some of the players are using a "unofficial" version of halo 2. See my Halo 2 GFWL video if you want to play on real GFWL servers for free using a kane and lynch key.

Hi, i just did this a few minutes ago and everything works fine until i try to join a game. i have 2 computers in my house i am wanting to play on. i have tunggle up and running on both computers but for some reason i dont see both me and the user on the other computer? i assume that is also the reason why i cant join the game but have no idea on how to fix it. please respond

@IamTehGamerKitteh The answer is surprisingly simple. Best to go to tinyurl dawt com/VersatileHostGuide. Answer is make sure each PC has a different tunngle port and port forwarded. In my house, I use udp 11155, udp 11170, and udp 11169.

ok so when i try to activate my h2 key code it ses expired please request a new one, idk wat to do, i dont feel like plain halo ce every time, and grid... please help
