OLTL - Bo and Gabrielle's Almost Engagement (12-18-2002)

Gabrielle finds a note from Bo that says "Gabrielle, get ring, the 17th." She assumes this means he's going to propose, and she confides in her son Al when he arrives. She tells him that she doesn't want to ruin what she has with Bo, but he thinks she should say yes. When Bo comes home, Al leaves to give them privacy. Bo tells Gabrielle that he misses her and he laments being away so much. She shows him the gifts she's bought for his family members from the two of them, and he is grateful that she took care of it for him. She's grateful for the wonderful new life he's given her. He hints that he knows something to make it better, and he goes into his pocket to get the gift -- but he pulls out an envelope. She opens it to find tickets to the Nutcracker. When he points out where the seats are, it says "the first ring." Gabrielle laughs but won't admit to why. He asks if he made her happy, and she says tremendously, but she looks at her bare ring finger wistfully.
