Lol mma trolls dont ever claim to be some cracked up bjj expert. ive never heard a decent mma student putting down some else down just because they dont conform to their standards most of those guy dont even think to question Bruce creds. and dont say there is not proof of his abilities. every fuking movie he made was proof those shots are slowed down x36 because his punches werent able to show his hands moving a full speed.

@arama0010 Well said. In my understanding, that is (in short) exactly what B.L meant = actual combat. "You better train every part of your body." And the truth of combat is different for each individual & for each situation. Anything can happen.

My Gun-do would deter people trying to kick my head I think. If i'm lucky enough.

Wow, this whole thread has been horrible.
Dan Inosanto is the man, that is all.
-
@Dungarth I think I'll go with his view over some random guy who has just read Tao of Jeet Kune Do.
-
@Dungarth little late but if 2-3 attackers are kicking your head in, no martial arts technique or style will help you. You're fucked at that point. I've actually had somebody try to bite me when I armbarred them, so I just armbarred them harder. That biting and eye gougign stuff COULD work but it pays to have other, high percentage techniques in your tool box, not just tricks. Dan sees value in BJJ or "sport" grappling ( originally made purely for street fighting).
why is everyone talking about the floors in Jeet Kune Do? just because the book didn't show all techniques, and face it it can't anyway, people think it won't work for this and that. JKD isn't a style, its a philosophy for the person to take in what is good and practical for him and to disregard stuff that isnt useful. a foot stomp, knee in balls and headbutt is just as effective as a clean 3punch combo from a competant striker, same as biting or eye gauging as opposed to a triangle or bjj moves
