1A Auto shows you how to remove or replace the interior door panel trim on your vehicle. You need to remove the door panel for a number of different repairs, for example door handles, window regulators, power window motors, door locks and more. This video, will help you do this.

  • Hey, I have a 1997 Honda Accord SE and every time I put weight on the driver door (like my leg for example) the "Door Ajar" light comes on. Also, I the driver door lock button fell in between the panel and the door too. I say that to this: every time I put weight on the door, ALL of the doors unlock. Does me taking off the panel help me with the lock button situation?

  • @TheyCallMeNess You may want to take the door panel off and reconnect the door lock putton. This may help some of the issues that you are having. You may also want to check for any broken or frayed wires that could be setting the locks off by themselves.

  • Hey, i wanted to replace the rubber trim around the window...its for my 1996 accord, ive looked everywhere but i cant find it..its the rubber trim where the window gets guided..can you plz help me out? thanks

  • @victorg32 The only place that might have new ones for you is the dealership. You may want to check to see if they carry them for you.

  • Great video, very informative

  • @1aauto Alright, i appreciate the help ill go ahead and take the door panel off and take a look. Again thanks for the help because i don't think a mechanic would rip the door off for free to check for the problem.

  • @xMarinex93 There has to be a switch that functions off of the lock somehow in order for this to happen. We haven't fixed one of these yet, but you may want to take the door panel off and see if it's the door lock actuator that controls it or a feature integrated into the door lock switch somehow. That would be first thing that I would check to see what was causing this issue.

  • @1aauto Thanks a lot for the reply and again thanks for the great video. If it is doing that because of a feature that enables this to happen would i take off the door trim panel and just look around til i find a switch or something to reprogram it or would i have to take it in to a professional?

  • @xMarinex93 It may be an issue with the feature that enables this to happen on the drivers side switch.

  • hey thanks for the video, also i got a little problem i have a 96 accord lx sedan and when i try to unlock the doors with my key on the driver side it unlocks only the driver side door only but if i turn it to the right twice it won't unlock any other door but i can unlock all doors with key if i turn to the right twice on passenger side. Also i can unlock/lock all doors with the power lock switch in my car so i don't think its the power door lock actuator so i assume its a loose cable any clue?
