  • I'm intrigued by your list of influences as they are almost name for name mine as well. I just have to ask if Kerouac, Tolstoy, Shakespeare, Woody Guthrie, Karl Marx, and Henry David Thoreau are on the list too?

  • definitely yes on guthrie & thoreau....I need to read more shakespeare, but the few books that I read many years ago were quite good...I have only read a little tolstoy, but he is another that I would like to read more of...I really liked on the road by kerouac, and some of his spoken word is really cool...especially the jazz infused stuff....I haven't read any karl marx at all, so I can't comment on him...

  • i like it buddy

curious. any poets or song writers inspire your writing?

  • yes...many...but to narrow it down here are a few you can check out if you haven't already:

paramahansa yogananda, charles bukowski, bob marley, bob dylan, hunter s. thompson, jim morrison, j. krishnamurti, john lennon, dalai lama, buddha, jesus, allen ginsberg, zack de la rocha, kurt vonnegut...

and the list can go on and on... ;P

  • @yodeling4otters Thanks, it's no effort to me.

  • smack! my fingers bounce from my skull

    i thrash my brain

    to beat the pain

    in my brain

wince! reading papers makes me dull

    i must break wind

    been eating tinned

    beans, give me wind

  • sirussm...i agree

  • Fuck You!...;) good job man

  • I love your poetry, it's beautiful! Keep writing!

  • Hey dude,

It's nice but a little clunky. Try for more economy, some lines repeat ideas, sometimes it's more powerful to say something once and to let it resonate. Nice though and I agree utterly that it's all madness... though war has changed since Rupert Brooke's time... so often now, at least over in the big bomb-blasted desert it's individuals fed lies and pushed over edges by chaos and violence inflicted against them... What would we do? Can we know? Can we claim understanding?

  • good job brethren

  • I like this of public display of humanity...makes me wanna do the same chers
