I was following one of these on a motorway in UK, rider was undertaking, (after hanging around inside my real blindspot) cutting up cars at 80mph. The scooter would fall back a bit on gradients and then overtake the cars it's just passed. Scooter was even hogging the fast lane, tailgating other cars.
Looked like the rider had a real deathwish, although he did have a full windscreen and yellow jacket for safety.

I've always been a Lammy fan but my gp200 is too cramped with my teenage son on the back , so just brought a GTS 300 super sport i got to say its absolutely brilliant , i still love my lammy but if one had to go i would keep my vespa .

@tuffblue when you remove the step-through design the scooter stops being a scooter and becomes a motorbike.

I have the GTS 300 in black, love it, love it love it !!!!!!

If u can go on the Freeway with it. its a Motor Bike. If the Top speed is 40mph.. thats a scooter because thats below the speed limit on the freeway. But if the Top Speed is 80mph its a MotorBike as far as anyone is concerned.

@tuffblue - A scooter IS a motorbike, it's only the engine/foot placement that makes it a scooter.
Technically it's a Motor Scooter, and just like any motorbikes over 50cc, you need a motorcycle license.

VESPA FOREVER
I got a 2007 gt200 and its great but im still scared to take it on the freeway. I commute half an hour on I-30 and its a 70 mph highway.

Yes it can be a bit scary. You definitely need to concentrate.

say...thats a sweet looking gts you got there. =] im thinking of getting the gts 300 but really...i dont know...the difference between the gts 250 isnt much besides the 4mph+ gain and 200 bux extra...what do you think?

The 300 feels the same except a little better on the take off. On the freeway it is the same. The 300 uses more fuel yet the tank is still 9 litres so less miles per tank. Also a question to ponder is ...at what point does a scooter stop being a scooter and becoming a motorbike?
In the end, both great bikes.
