This is a combination video that demos the Boss RC-2, featuring an attempt at doing some improv over a jam rock style B major to A major progression that according to the harmonized major scale is most likely a modal progression, specifically the B mixolydian mode since the notes are all borrowed from the E major scale but the emphasis is on the 5th degree of the scale which is B.
REMINDER: ProGuitarShop is sponsoring a contest that anyone can enter. Just submit any video of yourself playing guitar to their Facebook page the name of which is... ProGuitarShop Collective ...and you are automatically entered into a random drawing with a chance to win a Telecaster. The winners are announced April 26, 2010. They have pedal giveaways regularly also. About a minute into this vid is my submission to the Tele giveaway contest which is posted in its entirety on their Facebook site.
And finally, I tried out a Red Witch Fuzz God II to see how it sounded using the self oscillating mode. The feedbacking sound was basically a B which corresponds to a harmonic on the E on the 9th fret of the G string. So hit that E normally or artificially harmonically and as the note fades the pedal delivers the feedbacking type sound in B. The spacey attack sound was controlled by the volume knob on the guitar.
Pretty crazy stuff, but I am looking for an Octavia type of pedal. I just got the Custom Audio Electronics MC-404 Wah pedal. I am lovin' how that works with my setup.
Other pedals featured include my Effectrode Tube Drive, Empress Superdelay and Tremolo. And of course the essential Sonic Research Turbo Tuner.
Thats pretty awesome! Definitely like that.
Btw. What kind of boots are those?
