We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Therapy Dog organization founded in September 2003. Our purpose is to share the love and joy of our canine companions — trained and tested Therapy Dogs — with others. Our dogs come in all shapes and sizes, pure breed and mixed breeds.

As Caring Canines Therapy Dogs, Inc. we visit area nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, libraries, schools, child care centers and camps for the seriously ill children in Lake County, Florida.

  • Big loves for the dogs. I know that if I were incapacitated and in a hospital or nursing home, these sweet dogs would be the highlight of my week!

  • I've heard that some researchers think we've been with wolves and dogs for at least 100,000 years. I don't think there's anyway to argue that dogs are very important to man kind. They can see for the blind, hear for the deaf, find the lost, and people are a lot more likely to quit smoking or to go out walking for their dog than because of a nagging relative.

"Man", I'd kick you in the ass when nobody was looking.

  • My 11month, 6 lb Chorkie just became a therapy dog. I'm 14 and I really wanted to volunteer at a hospital with him. I finally got him through all the tests so I brought him to the hospital yesterday. He was the PERFECT therapy dog! Everyone loved him and almost all the patients wanted to see him. He just sat there, kissed them, and let them pet him. He actually fell asleep beside one patient. It was a good experience for him and me. And I'm sure his presence made the patients feel better! :)

  • Such well behaved dogs. My dog would lick the patients. She just can't help herself.

  • that rottie is a stunner

  • Check out "The Magic of Kids and Puppies" video and the Project 2 Heal Foundation, which matches Labrador puppies with children who have special needs.

  • That's so amazing....I've always loved animals and dogs are in a tie with cats on my favorites. I think Dogs really do have that ability to help heal. I remember my grandpa was always happy to see my little dog Holly, they are both dead now, but I know they're happy together...
