How to catch Shaymin NO CHEATS!

Make sure you have a working Wi-Fi connection first!

How to catch Shaymin:
1. Unlock Mystery Gift
2. Get Oak's Letter 1:50
3. Head to Route 224 3:13
4. After it! 6:09
5. Battling 6:52

Ok, so this hasn't worked in years. It was a special event in 2009, so now the only way to get Shaymin in platinum is to use an Action Replay. If you have Diamond or Pearl you can tweak or use the run through walls AR cheat too.

I have a question for you sir, what if you do all of mystery gift then connect to Nintendo WFC and then it loads, but instead of giving me letter its says nothing found. What do i Do?

@iAreTheCraZyNumBer Like I've said in the description, this event isn't valid anymore. Oak's letter was distributed for about a month, about two years ago (when this video was made). You can use an action replay if you really want to get a shaymin, but it won't be legit.

I did actually get a shaymin once and now I've started a new game I'm trying to remember how I did it. It was not 2 years ago, plus, I didn't actually need to connect to wi-fi so... I'm just saying I think it's possible. Thanks any way :)
