[BlackTree TV- Los Angeles] Gugu Mbatha-Raw who many of you may recognize from her brief stint on Undercovers with Boris Kodjoe talks about her role in the new film starring and directed by Tom Hanks called Larry Crowne. Along with the young Gugu, another young star Wilmer Valderrama who many of you have become familiar with from his role in That 70's Show also discusses the casting process and being validated by Tom. Journalist Naja Hill sits down with these two young stars to talk about Larry Crowne.

GUGU MBATHA-RAW (Talia) is a talented British actress poised to take the U.S. by storm with several high-profile film and television projects. In addition to making her feature film debut in Larry Crowne, Mbatha-Raw recent- ly starred in J.J. Abrams' NBC television series Undercovers.
Gugu (pronounced Goo-Goo) Mbatha-Raw was born in Oxford in the United Kingdom. Her full first name is Gugulethu, which originates from her father's South African heritage, and means "our pride" in Zulu.
Classically trained, Mbatha-Raw accepted her place at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) on its prestigious three-year acting course at just 18 years old. Having studied Shakespeare in A-Level English litera- ture, Mbatha-Raw had her first practical experience at RADA and left the third year a month early to hone her skills in an Open Air Theatre production of As You Like It, playing Celia in her first professional engagement.
She followed that role with more stage work appearing in Manchester's Royal Exchange Theatre's production of Antony and Cleopatra, followed by the title role of Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, opposite Andrew Garfield, for which she was nominated for the Manchester Evening News Theatre Award for Best Actress in 2005.
WILMER VALDERRAMA (Dell Gordo), best known for his role as Fez on the FOX television series That '70s Show, has been in high demand above and beyond the small screen since the premiere of the series in 1998. Valderrama has produced, directed, written, hosted and acted in numerous projects over the to have many in development. He will also co-star, opposite Jason Isaacs, in
the upcoming NBC show Awake. He was recently seen in the drama The Dry Land,
which premiered in dramatic competition at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. In the film, Valderrama stars opposite America Ferrera, Jason Ritter and Melissa Leo.
At 13 years old, Valderrama moved to Los Angeles from Venezuela with his family and did not speak a word of English. He quickly learned the language and began drama classes in high school to help assimilate him into American culture. He performed in numerous plays while making his professional debut in a Spanish Pacific Bell commercial.

  • Is there a white host at BLACKtreetv?

  • @Cuirras actually, there are 3 white host, 2 asian, 3 Arab, 1 latino, 4 African and several African American host. Do you go ask the other networks about the composition of their host, or does the site of anything other than a white host set you off? Because if you look at it, I am sure you will figure that BlackTree is the most diverse channel on YouTube or elsewhere.

  • @blacktreemedia Im not racist, quite the opposite, all blackies point on white people being racist when they say something about a balck dude. Bullcrap. I just like how the name is BLACK TREE... not racist eh?

  • @Cuirras I'm glad you like the name. I don't know how a name makes you racist, if that is what you are presuming. It's not called "I hate White People TV", there is nothing racist about BlackTree, and if you read my first response to your inquiry, than you would not have asked the redundant question again. So while I did not call you racist the first time, I can probably assume that you are one now that you made a blanket assumption about 'blackies', u seem like you have personal problems.

  • @Cuirras Nope, and Indian Host.

  • @Hersheychocolate567 Catch the double-meaning of booty and beauty.

  • What does he mean when he says Yes, pun intended?

  • @Cuirras Wow that is one of the fucking dumbest comments I've ever seen lol

  • Ms Mbatha-Raw is not only undeniably gorgeous; she's supremely talented. She's played Ophelia on the stage. Thank you, blacktreemedia, for this video! I really hope that Gugulethu Mbatha-Raw becomes a household name!

  • More than 2000 views and im the first to say, Gugu is absolutely gorgeous! Whoa!

  • @Cuirras wow that was just the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I'm black and I think that BET is terrible (as do many other blacks) just because a title says "black" in it every black person isn't going to think "Black? JUST LIKE MEEEEEE!!!!! I HAVE TO WATCH!!!!" sorry, that's not how it works.

  • Crazy how racism always come around in every topic. But anyways, back to the reason this is on youtube. The movie is great, funny and you will not mind spending your money to see it. Everybody including the beautiful Gugu, was great in the movie. Great acting, funny and seem like everyone had a good time on set. So people go see this. Just a point on view from a blacky.lol J/K Cuirras.

  • @blacktreemedia No not really, Im just an obvious observer. I'm not racist, I just like how this TV is similar to BET... It has a BLACK word in them... Black people think that this is a TV for them... I talked to them i know.
