  • this guy is collapsing wrong. he lands on his elbows and when he dives he needs to have his hands pushing forward so his elbow doesnt go down on the ground and hurt

  • @Killabee2 JV keeper. He gets no reps and is only allowed to watch.

  • nice, but i can see one problem, he gets up on his palms, and (just the way i was taught) your suppose to either get up on the ball or on your fists so you don't ruin your gloves :P

  • @blackguitar86 If the goalie doesn't have control of the ball, then is a goal, Unless there was contact between the attacker and the goalie that could have been considered a foul, specially in the goalie zone. You can download for free the rules of the game at fifa.com on PDF. It is not the end of the play if the goalie doesn't have control of the ball (basically of it bounces off the goalie).

  • The ball isn't considered in control until it is firmly being held. If it bounces out of the goalies hands then it is still 'in play'.

In the case of a 4yr olds game, it could be the rules are relaxed and a touch from the goalie is considered out, but is up to the ref. Best to ask before the game starts so you don't end up shouting at the ref and emabarassing yourself.

  • Can anyone tell me the rules about the Goalie touhing the ball???????? My 4 year old daughter played a team where her teammate shot a ball in the goal after their goalie touched the ball. It landed about 18 inches from him and he just sat there facing away from the ball. He did not have control and the ref did not blow the whistle. Is that considered the end of the play after he/she touches it without any control on the ball?? Where can I find that in writing????

  • this reminded me of my goalie training in HS

  • the keeper got a english competence this is very much better then the Dutch competence so ncie keeper gl with it :P

    rate 5/5

  • ab workout

  • Goalkeepers normally dive forwards and to the side, not just to the side, so they have a bigger reach.
