Gas explosion - Eastwood fire - 28.7.11

It started with a loud explosion that shook our doors and windows pretty hard, and triggered alarms here and there. We knew it wasn't the wind, as it was not windy at all, and it sounded more like waves of pressure.

Sirens came shortly after, and series of smaller explosions followed(which sounded like tyre punctures).
The fire didn't take long to appear after that, and we weren't sure what to do at this stage. It was scary to hear(through twitter) that the roads were closed off, which explained the daunting silence.

Thankfully, the always reliable firefighters tamed the fire before it grew bigger. Sincere thanks to them.

Later, I found out the cause was a leaking gas valve at the fruit shop in the shopping centre. Word has it that the building itself housed the fire.

... Seriously frightening experience..

Guys, stop being dickheads etc. A body was found in the shop, and the owner is also missing. They are still identifying it, but it's most likely the shop owner's. He didn't burn the place down on purpose rofl. Show some respect. It was a good store.
