As Washington continues its crackdown on undocumented migrant workers, laws in several US states say English is the only language that can be taught.

This has Spanish-speaking students struggling to learn the language while completing the classes they need to graduate.

@treezX but who's sayin that this country has an official language? yeah, you can expect that from other countries but this is the melting pot and there never was an official language. English wasn't even the first of the hundreds of languages spoken when this country was founded.

@whateverplo i dont necessarily believe the government is trying to help by doing this, they are only promoting discrimination against those who are deficient in English. it also goes against the rights of people, which states that it is not appropriate to teach children in a language they cannot understand.
