Minidoka City, Idaho was a boom town at the first of the 20th Century. At one time 2,000 people - including everyone from railroaders to homesteaders to ladies of the evening - lived in the town. It was all a result of the railroad and work at the burgeoning Minidoka Dam. The town started to dwindle in the 1950s and today about 200 people live there.
