Morning people,

sorry for the mistake in the video,
I had some problem with the encoding.
So one guy is disappearing for a sec.
and in the beginning is a mistake too.
It is a bug in Adobe Premiere.

I know some people been asking for this for a while.
This song has a looooot of guitar tracks.
It took a while to hear what they are playing and to
record and mix it, but I am really happy with the result.
Only the Acoustic Beginning is not that good.
A way better guitar was needed but not available.

Again I used the Toneport, not my real amp,
cause it is just too much work to pack the amp and drive to the studio
and all back. And I can record longer at home, no noise.

I have the Midi Notes for the drumtrack from a Guitar pro file
from ultimate-guitar, it was perfect, didn't have to change anything.

The end of the solo is not like the original, I couldn't hear
what he is actually playing. And it is way too fast for me.
Had to record Piece by piece.

Description:
I first record the audio of the song,
then film me playing the guitars and edit them together.

Gear:
Guitar: Epiphone Les Paul Prophecy EX ME
Strings: D'addario 13-62
Tuning: Dropped A#
Bass: Keiper 5 string
Acoustic Guitar: Kirkland TX, Dropped A# Tunung, D'addarop 13-56 strings
recorded with the built-in B-Bend Pickup and a Akg C 414 mic.
Amp: Line6 Toneport UX2 with Powerpack Addon
Recording Software: Steinberg Cubase 4
Drums: Toontrack EZDrummer with dfh AddOn
Camcorder: Sony HDR-SR11
Video Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro CS4

See Ya.

  • I use 12 gauge "Not even Slinkies" on my Warlock. Should I go a higher gauge for this tuning?

  • @lp21046

You have to feel that yourself, for me 13-62 were the best on my guitar and for how I play.

  • hey, schehf, your covers are really perfect. is it allowed for me to use your instrumentals to do vocal cover and post it to youtube??XD

  • @samuelguk49

    if you mention me, sure.

  • Hey schehf, i noticed that ur using daddario 13-62 which is the baritone light type right? im using a daddario 10-46 is this a good idea or should i use larger gauge strings?

  • @grudge579

Depends on your tuning and your guitar.

For me I like the 13-62 the best, playing wise, control and sound.
