Toledo St.Johns football player gets Smoked!!!

In the same stadium his dad played in. Nick Brinkman made a hit that shook the foundation at Jack Mollenkopf Waite Stadium. Not only did the Knights defeat the Johnnys during the regular season, but they were able to defeat them in the Hall of Fame Bowl, which some people thought was a meaningless game. This hit set the tone of the game and the 1999 St. Francis Football Knights never lost to the Johnnys and went 5-0 beating them twice their senior year! The class of 1999 Football Knights were 10-1 during their senior season as Toledo City Champions in Division IA, only losing to the defending state champs Canton McKinley Bulldogs.
