Puerto Princesa is the capital of Palawan, an island province in the Philippines. You wouldn't believe how crowded this little airport was. Filled with tourists heading for the same cultural attractions as us, luxurious to budget resorts, phenomenal white sand beaches and a little R&R. If you arrive without bookings, don't worry. The airport has advertisements, tour operators and others holding up signs who will be only happy to assist you.

From here, new tour guide Vim shepherded us over to a local store to buy "Love Offerings" for the Batak tribe, a scheduled visit in two days. It is considered rude to visit without bearing "love offerings." What in the heck is a "love offering"? For the Bataks, sardines, cigars and ramen noodles. Did you ever?
