Cool, thanks, it does feel like being bombarded in our consumer society. And if you are into consumerism commentary and sarcasm, I like the youtube channel "StillUsing". They're looking for other users who, instead of buying the latest technology, are happy to keep using older ones, for the lousy (uh, not!) reason that they still work.
They're hoping for some real finds: typewriter, tape recorder, etc.

And the point of this is what? Blaming corporations for making products that people don't exercise the necessary self-control to use in moderation? If you don't approve of it, don't buy it. It's not McDonalds' fault that you're fat. If you take away the benefit of getting rich through innovations, a huge percentage of the world loses its incentive for working hard. You have these "evil corporate systems" to thank for the fancy mass-production-enabled computer you're using.

the "necessary self-control" is systematically undermined by the hypermarketed enviroment that we all live in today. and corporations do much more than simply "making products" - they put them on every inch of public (and sometimes private) space that thay can afford to buy. and we have all had been thought to consume right from the moment we started to learn how to speak or recognize colors.

anyway, go read "no logo", this comment space is too limited for a serious and/or exhaustive argumentation.
