And what about al the radio stations who broadcast loads of music to the public all day and the haven't paid for the CD either? I agree it has gone crazy especially if it is just in the background music or someone singing along to a song. For someone like me, who isn't a good speaker and has nothing interesting to say, copyright could very well be the end of my channel, every on of my videos I have had that same email about third party content, it belongs to someone else etc.

It is probably because of the internet itself that they go so far because for a long time people have been able to get albums on line for free. For example we used to have a store here called our price, they are all closed down, and a lot of HMV stores seem to have closed down here, the internet is killing music sales. I know what your talking background music, but I disagree, if I have bought the CD I should be bale to use that song in part of my videos.

Genesis should have just removed the music video or any video using the actual song instead, especially if people uploaded them without permission.

It's too bad that you singing a song is considered violation. It's not like you are trying to make money from it. One day that whole thing is gonna bite the music industry in the ass. I already hardly shop at music stores thanks to iTunes or Amazon. It's true that things I hear on YouTube have influenced me to buy something. Even some old songs I never heard I would find them on Itunes, Amazon or find the actual CD or even vinyl!. What happens when the music industry loses even that?

totally agree i have one friend whos 1 strike away from being terminated bcuz of copyright just for giving his opinion on a movie trailer its not like he put ads all over it & making money off of it.plus I have 2 friends who got their old accounts terminated cuz of copyright & they werent making money off of it.Screw youtubes stupid copyright claims.

Okay seriously wouldnt that be seen as a good thing ? LIke youtube really got their head out of their ass for a minute they'd see that watching shows and listening to music on here actually make ppl wanna buy the cds or buy the movies or shows on here that in reality that's a good thing . But I guess Youtube is too full of retards to see that they're blowing a chance for themselves . Sighhssss idiots .
