PlayStation - The Last Blade (Anime Intro)

This is the animated intro that SNK commissioned for the PlayStation port of The Last Blade (月華の剣士/Gekka no Kenshi). Just to clarify, this is NOT from The Last Blade 2. No port of that ever received an anime intro.
The version of Kojiroh seen here is the actual (male) Kojiroh, who was murdered by Shikyoh, and whose place was taken by his sister in The Last Blade 2. He is playable, but he's basically a bad sprite edit of Washizuka, and plays 100% identically. This apparently is the source of some confusion, so I'm going to nab some footage of him to clear things up.
The port also contains weird, "alternate" versions of Shigen and Akari. Gameplay-wise, they are no different from the originals, and Shigen only has a different palette, but plays otherwise the same. The alternate Akari is mildly interesting, as she is meant to be a tanuki (raccoon dog) who is mimicking her form and powers. Her special moves now have a tanuki-centric look, but otherwise, she's no different.
The intro is basically the only worthwhile part of the port, as it's pretty badly butchered. Animation cuts bad enough to affect gameplay, and lots of slowdown... yet, curiously, the stages are 100% intact, in all their detail. Oh well. Enjoy the video.
