  • @TheMapleleafs10 being the richest team in the league does give us the opportunity to spend more money on scouting and coaching staff tho, there is no cap on that!! So his comment isn't to far off. Burkie has done a stand up job to date tho with all aspects of trades and scouting. Excited about the future

  • The leafs seem to have a very good team this year.

  • @knightschwartz because theyve sucked for 6-7 years, hopefully this changes this year, as they're in the rebuild stage.

  • @knightschwartz There's a salary cap in hockey... being a rich organization has nothing to do with picking a team in the NHL... foolish comment

  • Why is the richest team in the nhl so lously? why haven't the lefts made the playoffs for so long?

  • @4Bold I'm saying that if Burke kept his fat mouth shut about how much he loved Kessel, the Leafs might have gotten him for less. If you're trying to acquire something and the person that owns the asset realizes how badly you want it, that gives them a stronger negotiating position, doesn't it? Burke would benefit from being aware that just because you CAN speak highly of players, its not always a good idea, especially if you're a GM trying to improve your team.

  • Burke's problem with drafting and acquiring is that he's too vocal. He talked a lot about admiring Kessel and BOS drove up the price when Chiarelli heard Burke wanted him. It was also obvious that Burke wanted B. Schenn and that was no secret on draft day either. Maybe Lombardi will have some significant leverage in the future if Burke comes calling for Schenn and the Kings are in need of some draft picks and severe overpayment.

  • @babaganuse how come?

  • fuck Burke hes D fetish has failed

  • @babaganuse
