  • @GreenBrauZz this song is called Lost :)

  • @heddye Thanks! (:

  • @GreenBrauZz it is lost

  • What's the name of the song at 0:24?

  • @96Mlm But I could be confused. I'm not sure for 100% ;) Well, for me she is definitely a mezzo soprano. And many people say she is a mezzo.

  • @fuckingbrill Well, If you say so. Who am I to contradict you about your own voice? However I like to discuss these sorts of things, I'm always learning. What do you think Beyonce's voice type is?

  • @96Mlm I'm a higher one. And if I want to sing without any straining, mixing with classical technique (i'm not an opera singer but i mean only opened throat and 'singing like yawning') i can't go higher than F4/G4. Sometimes I strain even on A4.

  • @fuckingbrill I know that some guys can go unbelievably high, there's even a guy here on YT named primohomme who belts in the female range. It just requires a lot of mixing. BTW, here's something he said in the comment section in one of his videos: "Mix can start as low as Eb4 really, for both males and females". So, as you can see, I'm not the only one. It's just that most pop male singers have naturally higher voices, and you are probably not a baritone.

  • @96Mlm Of course. Tessitura isn't wider than two octaves, but there's no reason why singers couldn't dispose 3 octaves operatic range or even more.

  • @fuckingbrill But her speaking voice when she is singing in concerts is damn LOW (lol). The fact that she can't belt higher than F#5 without struggling when she can (or could in the DC era) hold a C6 in head voice confuses me. Aretha has a huge range but her voice is much darker now (hence the powerful G2) and some (I said "some") of her upper belts (like G5 - D6) sound a little strained. Therefore I wouldn't call those notes part of their tessitura, but their useful range.
