Anne Diamond talks to Kevin Lloyd, Derby born actor on his role in the Thames Television show The Bill. His brother Terry Lloyd, news reporter on ITN makes a guest appearance. Terry was killed whilst reporting for ITN in Iraq by American 'friendly fire.' Kevin died as the result of an incident in an alcohol clinic.
The whole story is rather tragic as Kevin and Terry's father was also killed on the job whilst serving as a Police officer. He was racing to respond to what proved to be a hoax emergency call.

I collect old television and radio material, so if you'd like to see more of this, get in touch.

  • Do you have any more TV Weekly??

  • I think I have a couple of full editions from around 1991 somewhere.

  • I'm not sure, but it might have run up until the end of 1992.

  • I think it was 1992 from memory.

  • A tragic end for both of them. And they were so young too.

  • Great in Auf Pet & Dear John :)

  • @ginnibarlow It ended so that Vanessa's Chat Show could start, they always said it would be back - but it never did return. (Vanessa started in the afternoons first.) So must have been 1996, I've got some from near the end of the run when they revamped the opening titles and theme. Shall have to see the year end. It was a Meridian Production after TVS.

  • old tosh, i remember once he tried to make a citizens arrest on someone in the street, he had been drinking all day ( nothing new there) and got involved in his script for the bill and must have thought he was a real detective.
