  • Thanks! Well, I let it run and the oscillator noise went away. I believe that it just needs to loosen up a bit as it seems to be new.

  • From what I know, the original Century brand name was bought out by Hunter, which primarily made it's money solely from ceiling fans. The Original Century table fan was a heavy, over engineered fan, I found one that had four speeds, and it was a very handsome fan, yet, very hard to repair. Hunter still wasn't making an oscillating table fan, with the Century name still in limbo, it decided to have General Electric make the smaller table fans under the "Hunter Century" name.
