Jeremy Clarkson dives into the car culture of Detroit, famously known as motor city.
This was an episode of a series called Jeremy Clarkson's Motorworld, made back in the time when he wasn't so hostile against american cars and had a full set of hair...

Enjoy! Make sure to check out the two other parts of this episode. They will be up soon.

  • The reason cars like this are seen as crap in britainand europe is because we have corners. The perfect mustang, in my opinion, is one i saw at a car show that was tuned by some german company who i cant spell :P

  • Well, I'm Norwegian, and last time I checked that was definatively in Europe. A land where the roads are rubbish, narrow and with loads of turns.

It still doesn't stop me from driving my old Corvette and enjoying every part of it.

  • Re: comments in the info box. Clarkson was always a huge fan of muscle cars.

  • I wouldn't call him a huge fan excactly, hehe.

You should have seen all the times he have taken a muscle car and argued that a british Aston Martin or Jaguar that costs 5 times as much is better in every imaginable and unimaginable way.

But I won't argue with the fact that he find them appealing in a way, after all, who doesn't?

  • The intro song is just perfect!

  • @jharrypot2004 Pontiac Fiero. But I doubt anyone has ever heard of it because it was never sold there. It was mid-engined and stuck the road like glue. I'm just saying. Don't mix up American and muscle when you're talking about cars. We make sports cars. Just not as many as the rest of the world

  • Not all American cars are muscle cars. But thats what people seem to think of when they hear American and car together almost anywhere outside of the U.S. Europeans say their cars are better because they have corners. The United States has corners too. Just not as many of them. And there are plenty of All-American cars that most Europeans have never heard of, or consider to be muscle cars. C2 and C3-current Corvettes are sports cars. Whether you like it or not. As is the Dodge Viper. As was the

  • ahh.. retro cars

  • @dickcheese663 So his 1971 Impala SS ran a 10.97 in stock form, as in, straight from the factory?

  • @csmybuttt my brothers daily driver is one of many just in TEXAS alone /watch?v=HePFfTDohrQ

  • @dickcheese663 Ok, and how many cars can run 10's stock?

  • The reason Why people think american cars are bad is because its built cheaply its cheap to own but most of the money went to performance... 1/4 mile to be exact thats why they seem to fall apart but I love muscle cars cause the point of it was it was cheap and it came with a load of power and you were suppose to spend money on how you wanted it to go. and I love that.

  • british sports cars can handle, but none of them could run 10's in the 1/4 stock
