This is a peek into my innermost struggle with gay marriage and homosexuality in general. I in no way mean offend anyone. If anything in this video is offensive to you, please, let's talk about it.
I think if you give my thoughts serious consideration, you'll quickly find that many other Christians think and feel like I do. We are shoved into the corners of the "that's just not right" room by our brothers in Christ. And in the very next breath, the ones we are trying to find a way to support, will kick us when we're down. This must be what it feels like to be a Libertarian. Democrats and Republicans always trying to discredit your every arguement. They use you when they need you, then pay you no mind when you need them.
This is going WAY out on a limb for me. Please, pay attention to the fact that these are my feelings. My counselor has always said that "feelings are never wrong". I guess I'll have to watch my comment section to see if you agree with her.
Thanks for watching. Please remember to Rate, Comment, and Subscribe. Also, tell your Christian friends... even your atheist friends that may share similar feelings as a dialogue for folks like me is becoming far more necessary than ever before.
Peace to you all.

@subbtopp What about all the gay rapes in prisons? If we're going to judge majorities here, let's talk about all the gay rapes, and the Catholic pedophies are homosexuals.
And what are you talking about gay people would help you? That's just like saying "All black people will help." You're being way too general.

@fernanant - Are sins the basis for morality?
Are you familiar with the divorce rate among Christians?
Because certain people don't want a word redefined does not mean that they look down on anyone.
for instance: If Latinos wanted the word caucasian to mean anyone that isn't black, would you be for that? Even if saying 'no' meant that you were going to be labeled a bigot?

@thereprieve See, that's my point. For most christians, masturbation is morally wrong and is just as wrong as homo sex. Their sexual ethics is called chastity (sex only in hetero marriage, no codoms, only for procriation and never ever divorce). If you are not following some of these rules, you have secular views on sex. If you have secular views on sex, it makes no sense to look down on gay people.

@fernanant - Counter-productive is puttin gwords in people's mouths. I never said "but you would "hate his sin", isnt it?"
Plenty of things are done in the name of love that would distance me from my son. There are choices that I have made (or will make) that my children will find odd and not want to be associated with. Does it mean we love each other less?
I'm not worried about making my children feel bad when they make bad choices. It's part of the learning/healing process.

@fernanant - Cut off a left-handed person's left hand, and they'll become right handed. So, using your logic, there's sstill some logic to the therapy that you speak of.
What is sexually normal? Some men get excited watching a woman pop balloons. Some like to watch lesbians. While others prefer sex with their wives. Normal isn't even normal anymore.
If masturbation is unholy, I'll see you in hell.

The only problem I see is that most out (and older) gay men have a lifestyle that avoids marriage. But it's not that they wanted this lifestyle, actually it's all they could get.

Now concerning what you say in the video.
In the western world, marriage goes beyond religion. People from different religions and even atheists marry and, for them, marriage is based on love between 2 people. It is something nobody discusses anymore because everybody agrees.
The ideia that marriage must be based on love is kinda new but most christians embrace. The idea of same sex marriage is to include gay couples in this group - two people that love each other.

You say you would love your son, but you would "hate his sin", isnt it?
Put current christian preaching aside for a moment. Don't you find sinful to see sin in a natural unharmful love? You love your wife, wouldnt you want your son to love his husband the same way? Isnt this view just counterproductive? It would distance your son from you, make him feel bad, it is just like saying he is not good enough the way he is. It wouldnt change his sexuality.
