Selection from Film "Broadway Melody of 1936".
Jack Payne & His Band (with vocal choruses).

Part One.
'You Are My Lucky Star', 'Sing Before Breakfast', 'Broadway Rhythm'.

Plenty of Melody here.Jack Payne and His Band at their last recording session of 1935. Billy Scott Coomber is 'Singing Before Breakfast'. It was recorded in December 1935. Enjoy!.

  • it's funny how the songs "You Are My Lucky Star and Broadway Rhythm" were a bigger hit in Singing In The Rain than in Broadway Melody Of 1936.

  • That is why the records have that wavy-end groove... to trip that mechanism that shuts it off!

  • I saw the film a good 10 years years ago. This is better than the film. Jack Payne is outstanding!

  • Super start to a snowy day. Thank you

  • Scampi, can't you show the whole machine?

  • I think you are MY Lucky STAR. Thank you so much for sharing, 85Scampi. I love them all!
