Youtube playing commercials on people's videos will simply drive people (me certainly) to other video sites where I am not forced to sit through an ad for a computer monitor.

Show them we are unwilling to sit through them and that's why it is so important that when you see a video commercial popped in before a user's video that YOU immediately close that window. Do not tolerate the turning of internet into yet more cable television with 5 commercials between each segment of a 30 minute program.

I'm not sure, but I think it may have something to do with a video's number of views being less then the number of favorites and/or votes in the ratings.

You can tell by looking at a spike in the ratings in the statistics. A consistent rating of one star in in a brief span of time is a good tip off, though I'm not sure this is the only way to know.

I don't really understand votebots. How can you tell the difference between bots and legitimate ratings? Whats the best way to solve the problem?
