The term God Helmet refers to a controversial experimental apparatus in neurotheology. The apparatus, placed on the head of an experimental subject, stimulates the brain with magnetic fields. Persinger reports that at least 80 percent of his participants experience a presence beside them in the room, which they variously say feels like God or someone they knew who had died.
The leading researcher in this area is Michael Persinger. Persinger uses a modified snowmobile helmet or a head-circlet device nicknamed the Octopus that contain solenoids which create a weak but complex magnetic field over the brain's right-hemisphere parietal and temporal lobes.

  • Uh oh, it sounds like Jesus and Allah may have some competition.

  • @poltergiest11 And one last thing on this dreaming. Note again that I previously mentioned that I sometime note my pet (DOG) sleeping and can see her kick her legs, growl, whimper, etc. < ALL THIS, yet relgion doesn't care much to cover what ANIMALS THINK or GO TRHOUGH. Religious doctrines really care MORE about the PEOPLE, because people AUTHORED those doctrines. It's like the beliefs are "love animals" but not much more CONSIDERATION is GIVEN. Just another human tribal attribute

  • DMT?

  • Nerve staple, here we come :p

  • But can i buy one?? Or make one?

  • When the biochemical brain closes down a new reality is experienced in a parallel body. Ironically, in the future, As the technology improves, Persinger's helmet will enable more people to experience alternate realities in parallel universes. You have to look beyond Persinger's experiments to understand the implications. No doubt, their conditioning are generating different interpretations but the subjects are clearly experiencing an alternate reality.

  • They all had a psychedelic experience , vocies , faces, a comforting presence all sounds like the mushroom trips I've had

  • @vjohn82 FAITH by dictionary definition is a belief, trust or reliance on someone or something. Every1 has faith in 1 form or other. If your belief is that God is a fairytale & that faith is immovable, why should I argue with you? My belief in the Bible is the foundation of my faith & that reliance allows me to make the statement already posted. Your questions have Biblical answers. They're not 1-liners responses, you will have to choose to seek them out

  • @laverneangela Wow... who knew that the manipulation of the brain could be used by a religious nutjob to infer that we are merely unlocking parts of the brain accessible to god. We have to ask why such a vessel is deliberately closed in the first place (being "intelligently designed") and why the manipulation works on freaking out animals too. Anything else to add?
