someone put a single jack pike in a carp fishery near me to manage the numbers of small fish. its now 30-40 pound.

Top class mate :) thats a monster in most places but i bet you wouldnt believe me if i told you the world record is 57lb :)

I took one at 15, nice fish but not quite the biggie I was after.......no matter though, a fish is a fish.

I was on the lake again on Sunday.
I thought I had another 30 but the latest was 29lb 4oz, caught about 150 yards from the 38.
Will try again next year

Hi, that was in Chew Vally Lake in Somerset, of half a herring, floatfished in shallow water, thanks for your interest

You have to be kidding me, surely you haven't had bigger? I met you both in the bar afterwards and saw the photos over a pint. Saw the picture in Angling Times too. I've had 6 sessions up there this year and have my last one next saturday. The biggest I've had out if there is 11lb 10oz........Saturday will be my day, I hope!?!

Hey Jimmer how did you do on yer last session? Acctually I had 2 that were bigger than that...123 and 136 (both Catfish) so I guess that does not count, Tony

Hey there, so that's what she looks like, what a beast. We met in Woodford lodge on that most memorable of days......memorable for you anyway, all I had was a brownie. Bet you haven't had anything as big since February?
