@knowledgeispowerfful WTF?! Did they have to inform customers who they sold garbage mortgage funds (which were packaged, re-packaged, hid, etc.) to that the big financial companies were actually fully hedged against these horrible products? No, they fully bet against these terribly planned mortgages and still sold responsibility for them to joe-shmoe investors and shamelessly wiped them out in some cases. If the american dollar will truly be valueless in the next few years or so, how come banks such as citi bank, bank of america, TD, chase etc.... are not informing us about investing in silver coins?. I think they are obligated to inform the American ppl and help those who want to transfer their money into silver or gold. By the way, isn't thats what banks are for?. is to help the ppl.

I actually got up to around 30k, then used 20 of it as a down payment on a house recently. Of course right after I sign the papers, this news comes out about foreclosure papers possibly having forged signatures and selling those homes was put on a halt! In spring time prices will be even lower as the market is flooded with these homes. I guess I made a bad investment? I got the house for 190, and it appraised for 205 so I thought I was doing good. I'm still considering silver.

@LoryLandskipper It might be a little late, but if you haven't already, buy silver. Don't leave that 20k in the bank. Inflation and the nonstop printing of the dollar will eliminate your savings.

On a side note...you're 25 and you've already saved 20k??? Bravo! :D

Listen you can't transfer our slavery from one currency to another (cash to silver). It's not what we use as money but who controls it's quantity.
