so you were 4 when this song came out, and 9 by the end of the 90s. wow, please tell me all about your life in the 90s. the way you relate to the music must be quite a story

two things i've realized that differentiate the 90s sound from pop music today, at least as far as female singers go:

    1. they were a lot older in the 90s

    2. each singer had their own sound in the 90's. it seems like you could swap singers on a lot of songs today and no one would think anything of it.

neither of these things are jabs at current music. in fact, there's a lot of catchy music on the radio today. we're just so inundated that it takes a little more work to pick it out

Despite what a lot of you may think, this song is NOT about sex. Merril said it's about the roles that two play in a relationship and how Merril can swap between one side to the other of the relationship in her head. This song is nice and catchy..the video is kind of weird though lol Okay check out my favorite track on Garden in my room called "Spinning".

I wasn't being serious. I love this song and music in general. 'Twas a harkening to the people saying "music from timeframe A sucks, and B is when music was music" and so on. And at any point in time there is going to be music that sucks. I probz do need to grow up, but since you got so inflamed by my lil' words, perhaps the same could be said for you. Best wishes :)

Something about this song always made me happy. Maybe because it's such a simple melody and simple, easy-to-understand words. She has such a pretty voice, too.

I can tell you.. That was their childhood, some of the best parts of it too... They were the younger children of the 90s
