You idiots, he is not and was never gay. I agree that it doesn't matter, but he couldn't be gay if he wanted to. It was considered rebellious, and thus very rock and roll, to reject conventional sexuality. The adults hated it. Free love had already run its course in really pissing off the elders and gender-bending glam rock was the next logical step. But the bisexuality was just a contrivance. I'm sure Bowie experimented when he was young. But he is *clearly* straight.
