@ganjafaama if the description is accurate and it really is a 200 mw laser, it's absolutely capable of setting fire to paper. I'd imagine it could probably kill a spider if it was focused long enough. It's a lot like focusing sunlight on ants using a magnifying glass, only a lot more intense.
If the description isn't accurate, though, and it was just a regular laser, the damn thing was probably just super annoyed.
