I have to disagree with this video. My truck requires 87 octane and when I use 91, my milage is better, and my truck tows more weight easier. Now, I only use 91. For me, its totaly worth the extra money.
can they increase the nitrogen, who knows. but the real key is the TYPE of engine you drive. Port fuel injection versus direct injection (wall or air guided) depends on the type of gunk you get on your in take valve, your combusion chamber and even you injector pintle. If you use cheap gas, that has NO additives...you have an increase amount of gunk. If you use someone that adds additives, you reduce the amount of deposits, but could still have significant gunk in your combustion chamber. Yup
Ok so He didn't answer the question with regards to the difference between shell gas, arco and chevron gas.
He's right the gasoline all come from the same refinery to a mid station that is shared by all these companies. It is there that each company adds their special additives.
However to say that there is no difference to using cheap gas versus expensive gas is crazy. Shell says they add nitrogen, but that already exists in the gasoline as a substance called Amine.
