There is no proof here they reached the top. Where are all the momentos left behind on the top by other climbers? Why do they move as quickly here as most do at Camp 3? Why were no foreigners allowed withn 1000 meters of the summit for these three days? This is all a fake because the Chinese could not lose face in front of the world.

1.) the climber had to hold so torch, thats why theres the rope

2.) in other vids you can clearly see the summit

3.) every fucker gets up there these days, those pros can whenever they want :D

@b4igetu, well you can believe what you want and I'm not going to convince you otherwise. Even if they didn't reach the summit, it's still impressive to take the torch up so high in the Himalayas.

@ZhangtheGreat It doesn't matter how the torch is designed they can't redesign fire. Fire still need oxygen to survive and 1/3rd less oxygen isn't enough let alone the wind. There is no prayer flags or other momentos around like what is on top of the summit. Not to mention the horrible weather, and no notible signs of anything you would see on the summit such as surrounding mountains. Even though Sherpas are good climbers at altitude they are still moving to fast. It is fake.

Don't get why people are quick to conclude this was a fake:

- Sherpas can get to the top of Everest without oxygen. Climbers who've had long-term exposure to high altitudes have less trouble than others doing so. Many of these climbers practically grew up in the Himalayas.

- The Olympic Committee designed a special torch to burn with limited oxygen. It's not the same torch as those used during the other legs of the relay.

That is fake...1: no one would live if you went to the summit in that kind of weather, 2. the actual summit has no ropes, only prayer flags, 3, unless these are super chinese climbers they are moving WAY to fast to be at 29,000 feet. Its a fake...most likely at the south summit before the Hillary step where you can't see the actual summit. It would take so much effort to carry a torch in the air up there!!!!

@pancake221 that isn't correct. It is all to do with atmospheric pressure. There is plently of oxygen, but the pressure placed on the lungs is so great, so it is much harder to breath. Think about it, planes burn fuel much higher than this, and it isn't a problem, At this high, Atm press is only 1/3 to 1/4 as that of sea level.
