I'm pretty sure this is art, and i mean that i mean that in a technical sense, not as a judgment of the work. I may be wrong about the original intent of the creators, but to me, this seems like the very scenario that you would fear most if you experienced something that you thought was alien abduction. Anything that could discredit you, particularly calling into question your sanity. Because you believe it, regardless of what it was because it still happened to you, even if it wasn't real.
