@toneknob , maybe you should let Mike Rutherford know what the tuning is supposed to be. He says he can't remember what he did on the Selling England By The Pound studio version and had to make due with other tuning for live performances because the original tuning was so out of whack. I'm sure he would like to know. I'll get you his email ;)

I know Mike has huge hands already but I wonder how he pulled off that intro on a NON cutaway guitar? Also some video (very rare) shows Mike actually switching back to the doubleneck right before the instrumental section. The bass pedal parts would be covered by by Steve or Daryl. Any Idea what Tony's acoustic part was during the first two parts? Ive also been puzzled by Tony's parts during Entangled.

Hey, that was really accurate. Very useful video, I'm sure you're now going to have like dozens of tabs requests for doing this :^)
Is that a 12-string Takamine? It sounds great.

@douzilles The open low D-strings are used in the middle instrumental, during the accompaniment under the flute solo. See my other video for the Cinema Show, entitled "Genesis - The Cinema Show - Middle Bit". If your tuning works for your preferred version though, that's cool by me.

Thank you for posting this. Knowing the guitar tuning is a real help. I've been struggling to get this song to sound right for years :)
