No se sabe quien escribió originalmente esta narrativa pero se ha transmitido de generación en generación desde entonces. Millie Gil, periodista de Puerto Rico y damas de la sociedad ilustran el tradicional lenguaje del abanico desde el patio interior del Antiguo Convento de los Dominicos, 1993.

  • me encantan los abanicos aparte de practicos me paracen sensuales y mi hija de solo 4 años tiene uno de madera pintado a mano que lo maneja con mucho arte de verme a mi su mama.

  • Antes se usaba una cadena o collar para sujetar el abanico, de manera de no dejarlo olvidado en cualquier lugar, para la niña podría usar una cinta de seda en armonía con el abanico.
