The first-ever official video from Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra premiered on Stereogum in USA, The Quietus (along with a feature interview with band leader Efrim Menuck) in the UK, and Les Inrockuptibles in France.
Weve put it up on our brand new Vimeo channel not that our bands have been prolific makers of videos, but there have been a few made this past year, now conveniently being gathered in one place.
The video was shot in the bands rehearsal space at the old Hotel2Tango (the original location bearing that name, though the recording studio proper has since relocated down the street) and features a live 8-track analog audio recording of the song. A free MP3 download of the audio (different from the album track, just to be clear) is available here.
The video was directed by Seth W. Owen, a long-time friend of the bands a one of the founders of Automatic Vaudeville. Aided and abetted by Iam MacMillan as Director of Photography. Audio recorded by Howard Bilerman (who can be seen in the video, monitoring the reel-to-reel).

I didn't like this song until I saw this video. It seems like a better live song than recorded.
