This was Agi Jambor's last recital before her death in early 1997. She played at the home of Rob Fiscella in the summer of 1996. Her Alzheimer's disease at that point was quite advanced, but if you are willing to overlook the brief lapses of memory, her beautiful playing comes through and is all the more amazing. Guests were Rudolf and Louise Marburg, Tanya and Ron Khazan, Penny and Michael Schwarz, Scott Sommerer, Susie and Max Schwarz, John Butchart, and, of course, Joe Stephens.
To listen to an artist at such an advanced age is a privilege, an inspiration and a humbling experience. Thank you for posting this wonderful video Dr. Stephens!

Agi did not practice at all at the end of her life. She played only when Joe (Joseph Stephens) visited her and prompted her to play for him, or with him, on a regular daily basis. Nevertheless her musical inteligence was intact, and in spite of all the mistakes, her voicing and phrasing ideas come clearly through. She would say 'I may not practice anymore, but believe me in my youth I used to practice 8-10 hours a day. I worked very hard '.
