  • If Austin would've tried to finish that with the left hand, that would've been the stupidest thing he would've done.... u don't go up with the left hand if u jump off of the left foot.... that's how u can tell ppl come on here and comment and don't really understand basketball, just wanna have something negative to say and they don't even make sense smh.

  • Austin seems like a great kid. Shame he went to a place like Duke.

  • did anyone else go outside and try to do that move wall did?

  • @reSpartan In theory, any thing CAN work "just fine" it's all about the confidence you have, how focused you are, and how comfortable you r in doing the move... most people don't feel comfortable going off the right leg and shooting with the right hand, because they don't practice it... it feels very unnatural... i do this sometimes, but it's not fundamentally sound, and it's NEVER taught... so it's not surprising that he didn't want to do such a move.....

  • @irsheft very true my friend.

  • @oo70mar Jumping off and shooting from the same leg works just fine. It's not fundamental, but it still works if you have to. I jump best off my right leg, so I occasionally do right handed layups off my right leg. If I would go up with my left on that side, I would probably get my shot blocked. All I'm saying is that going off the same leg you are shooting with works fine. In reality it doesn't matter when nobody is between you and the hoop though...

  • @GongKilluminati That's not the thing at all..... he was forced to jump off his left foot due to the timing of the guy reaching for the ball in the corner.... he was forced to pick up the ball at that moment, resulting in his second step being his left foot.... look at the tape and analyze please....

  • @lk0micho bad argument on your part... just because a few people do something a certain way, doesn't mean it's the way it should be taught.... how many coaches teach their kids to do falling away off one leg fade-aways like Dirk Nowitzki??? It's not the way basketball is taught.... you don't layup with the same foot u jumped off, that's bad teaching....

  • 'With the kiss"

  • @oo70mar That's the thing, he always jumps of his left foot for his layups, he needs to work on his right foot take off.

  • i mean it happens in basketball. just sayin

  • Austin river is fast! John wall can jump and he is also fast.
