There's a reason the song is in the key it's in... Because its written for a woman and that's why I think there were some pitching issues; you were trying to make it suit your baritone voice which isn't a bad thing. Find a version in a lower key and sing it an octave above; guaranteed that version will sound better and eliminate any flat areas :) ameritz.com have some great backing tracks
